Mansfield World Sidecar contenders Ben and Tom Birchall are delighted to welcome Coleman’s MOT and Tyre Centre Ltd of South Normanton on board as their tyre sponsors as they challenge for the 2013 FIM World Sidecar championship.
Matt Edwards who hails from Sutton in Ashfield and runs the Mansfield 103.2 Radio show has followed the team for a number of years and the time is now right for him to offer some support with tyres to help Ben and Tom in their quest to bring the World title back to Mansfield for a second time.
Matt, is a former racing driver who competed in the British GT championship and realises how important sponsorship can be to a race team. He said: “I have known Ben and Tom for a while now and followed their racing career with interest. I am happy to be in a position to give them a helping hand as having raced myself I know how difficult it can be to secure the necessary funding to go racing at the very top level.”
Ben Birchall added: “Matt has followed us and helped us out for some time and he has now offered to give us tyre support this year. One of the biggest budget breakers to a team is tyres and it is great to have Matt on board to help us. As with all our supporters past and present we really appreciate the help that we are given and will do our utmost this year to bring the title back to Mansfield where it belongs.”
